Abstract
OBJECTIVE To investigate the chemical constituents of the root of Epimedium leptorrhizum in order to obtain a more comprehensive understanding on its effective components.METHODS The compounds were separated by column chromatography with silica gel,and elucidated by spectral analysis and chemical evidence, respectively.RESULTS Five compounds were isolated from the petroleum mether and the ethyl acetate extract.Their structures were identified as tritriacontane(Ⅰ),β sitosterol(Ⅱ),6,22 hopanediol(Ⅲ),baohuoside Ⅱ (ikarisoside A) (Ⅳ) and 2 O rhamnosylicariside Ⅱ(Ⅴ).CONCLUSION The compounds Ⅰ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ and Ⅳ were isolated from the plant for the first time.
