Abstract

The battle in west Hubei was a large-scale one that Kuomingtang had during the Anti-Japanese War. Shipai, which was called Stalingrad by Jiang Kai-shek, became a key place for the following victory of the battle due to its unique geographic situation. This victory had a profound strategic influence in the Anti-Japanese War. This paper discusses in detail the strategy and its effect of the battle and proceeds to make a positive comment on it.
