Abstract
The effect of the modification of a knot on B-spline curves is studied.It shows that the B-spline basis functions defined over the modified knot domains are changed,so the shape and fairness of the curves can be changed better.This paper provides an efficient method to modify the shape of B-spline curves by knot modifications.
