Abstract
Based on the dynamic environment of water and sediment, the characteristics of beach evolution and the development of coastal economy, etc.,the erosion-deposition process and the development rules of the tidal flats and offshore tidal bars in the coastal areas of Jiangsu Province are determined by use of the technical methods of field hydrological measurements, perennial topographic maps, remote sensing data, numerical simulation and so on.The main factors as well as their influence degrees to govern the erosion-deposition adjustment of the tidal flats and offshore sand bars are distinguished, and their stability is also evaluated.
