Experiment study of the effect of peptide on expression of Bcl-2 and Bax in osteoblasts

Abstract

Objective:To explore the effect of peptide on expression of apoptosis related gene expression Bcl-2 and Bax in osteoblasts.Methods:Osteoblasts were cultured in vitro.Three dose of peptide were incubated in cell culture media containing 0.02mg /ml,0.08mg /ml and 0.32mg /ml for12,24 and 36 hours respectively.The expressions of Bcl-2 and Bax were determined by Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays(ELISA).Results:The expression of Bcl-2 were higher in each dose peptide in 12 and 24 hours and the expression of Bax were lower in same condition.The change of expression of Bcl-2/Bax was significant in 0.08mg/ml peptide in 24 hours.Conclusion:Peptide can promote proliferation of osteoblasts by Promoting the expression of inhibitor of apoptosis protein Bcl-2 and inhibiting the expression of apoptosis protein Bax.
