Abstract
The heavy metals such as cadmium, mercury, lead and arsenic have been analyzed in the soils and wheat in the area which is irrigated by Guangli River. The results show that the pollution of cadmium, mercury, lead and arsenic in the soils and wheat are slight and the wheat is edible. The concentration of arsenic is high in the soils of Wuzhi and Jiyuan County. The contents of lead and cadmium are high in Qinyang County. Therefore the contents of heavy metal are various in the different region. The accumulation of cadmium is higher than lead, arsenic and mercury in wheat.
