Abstract
The regulation of growth and material accumulation of Dunaliella salina was studied by different concentrations nitrate.Results showed that growth and material accumulation of Dunaliella salina were promoted with the nitrate increasing.Contents of protein and β-carotene in each Dunaliella salina cell without nitrate supplying is higher than that of normal nitrate supplying.But Dunaliella salina cell growth was inhibited,the cell density,protein and β-carotene synthesis were decreased.So it went against protein and β-carotene accumulation.The higher content of protein and β-carotene in each cell Dunaliella salina under poor nitrate may be a kind of adaption of Dunaliella salina to adverse circumstances in nitrate deficiency.
