Abstract

The great challenges is added to deepwater drilling fluid because of the low temperature,high pressure and complicated formation near the sea floor.This paper briefly analyzes the main problem and requirement for the deepwater drilling fluid.Also,a kind of water-based drilling fluid for deepwater drilling operation is developed,and the general property,low temperature rheological and hydrate inhibiting property of the fluid evaluated.
