Abstract

Since the 1980s, the UK has began to make and improve teachers' professional standards. In May 2012,the British Ministry of Education announced a new teachers' standards,which take teaching as center,aims at constructing a stricter teacher' access mechanism,professional development goals and standardizing the assessment system of teachers by the revision and the integration of the original teachers' standards so as to improve the quality and teaching level of teachers' basically in the UK.
