Abstract
Objective To compare the clinical efficacy of eschar reserving granulation skin grafting and eschar excision micro-skin grafting on large deep burn wounds. Methods 42 large area deep burn patients were randomly divided into the eschar reserved group and eschar excision group, with eschar reserving granulation skin grafting and eschar excision micro-skin grafting respectively. The related indices were compared. Results The average wound healing time, late scar ratio, skin ulceration ratio, incidence of complications and mortality of eschar reserved group were significantly higher than eschar excision group (P 0.05), and skin graft success ratio was significantly lower than escharectomy group (P 0.05). Conclusions For patients with large area deep burn wounds, the early escharectomy and micro-skin grafting can significantly increase the skin graft success ratio, and morbidity and mortality of patients.
