An Analysis of the English Logical "Subject-Predicate" Construction and Its Pragmatic Motivation

English sentence is essentially characterized by subject-predicate construction,grammatical or logical.The logical + predicate structure,which is used as a relatively complete unit of semantic expression in major sentences or minor sentences and can exist dependently or independently,often use a noun phrase with a nominative head as its logical subject and nonfinite verbal forms or non-verbal forms as its logical predicate.Expression of meaning in a concise way constitutes the motivation of this kind of structure.
