Abstract
Active queue management plays an important role in congestion control of network.Whereas most algorithms of the active queue management such as Random Early Detection(RED) have the problem of strongly relying on parameters.Aiming at the problem that the average queue length is unable to fully reflect the network congestion in the algorithm of RED,this paper puts forward an improved RED algorithm with the average queue and network load. This algorithm can adjust the probability of the pack loss adaptively according to the variety of network load so that it will be more congruous to the actual status. The validity of the algorithm is finally proved by performance analysis via emulate.
