Abstract
The formation of H2O2 from H2 and O 2 has been investigated in an acidic aqueous reaction medium over PdO/γ-Al2O 3-U catalyst system. The PdO/γ-Al2O3-U catalyst was prepared by incipient wetness impregnation with ultrasound. The effects of different mineral acids, acid( H2SO4) concentration, different halide anions were investigated. The studies revealed that higher H2O2 yield were obtained when the mineral acid were added to the reaction medium, and the hydrogen peroxide yield was better than other when the H2SO 4 was added to the reaction medium, and its optimal concentration was 0.35 mol/L.
