Abstract
The functional mechanisms of probiotics were analyzed in this paper, and the efficacies of several common aquatic feed probiotics were described such as providing nutrition to promote growth; enhancing immunity of animals to prevent from diseases; decomposing organic pollutants to purify water quality and improve ecological environment. Then some problems existed currently had been presented and the prospects had also been discussed, that would be of important significance for a better application of probiotics in aquaculture in future.
