Abstract
The software CFX was applied to complete the numerical resolution of the flow field and surface wave of molten steel in mold for the high speed slab and the calculation to F constant. The effect of factors such as casting speed, dimension of mold, parameters of the submerged entry nozzle and flux of Ar,on surface wave of molten steel in mold were researched.Comparison with the F constant shows that various factors have the same influence on surface wave with the F constant. The optimum F constant is 3~5 in high speed, then the surface wave of molten steel in mold is short and steady, and the center steel velocity in mold surface is in 0.05~0.1m/s range.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
