Application of balloon dilatation of urethra in urethrovaginoplasty for female children with points anus

Objective To explore feasibility of urethral continuous expansion by balloon in urethroviginoplasty for those female children with points anus.Methods Common tube of the patient was expanded by Foly catheter(with two lumens),length inserted and width expanded of the common tube were observed dynamically under CT scanning.The common tube was expanded to 2.0~3.9 cm according to age of the patient,then urethroviginoplasty was performed.Results After operation,the children could control their urination and defecation better,and perineal appearance is satisfactory.Moreover reconstructed vagina would grow with body growth.Conclusion Urethroviginoplasty with urethral continuous expansion for those female children with points anus is worthy to be popularized because structures of urethra and vagina reach physiological ones and perineal appearance of the patients after operation is satisfactory.
