Abstract

The properties of a wavelet function are fixed. In order to improve the property, this pa-per begins with the given birorthogonal wavelets and then constructs compactly supported and biorthogonal wavelets by the lifting scheme. The fast algorithm is made combined with the Mallat algorithm. Moreover, several examples are given to demonstrate the idea.
