Abstract
Objective To study the techniques of the treatment for epidermoid with microneurosurgery. Methods The suboccipital and infratemporal transtentorial approachs and endoscope-assisted microneurosurgery were used. Results Total resection was achieved in 22 cases.Little cyst remained in 9 cases and subtotal resection was made only in 4,and had no mortality of all. Conclusion The suboccipital and infratemporal transtentorial approachs are the main approaches for cyst resection.Total resection of the tumors could reduce the incidence of chemical meningitis.Endoscope-assisted microneurosurgery can increase the total-resection rate for tumors.
