XML-based Heterogeneous Database Integration

Abstract

Based on XML technology,the heterogeneous database integration method and its implementation are researched.For current information system for comprehensive integration of heterogeneous database integration needs,the use of XML Schema implementation data conversion and integration capabilities are proposed,data in a relational database table definitions and the mapping between XML data file mechanism to achieve database data and XML files bidirectional data exchange.Experimental results show that this method can better improve the efficiency of heterogeneous data integration,information integration cost savings,to achieve full utilization of existing databases.
