Folk Music,a Precious University Musical Education Resource

Chinese folk music is a precious treasure in China and even in the world as well,an evergreen ancient tree in the forest of world music.Due to the historical causes,not enough imporatance has been attached to it.University musical education,as the major channel to inherit and broadcast folk music,should take folk music as one of its major contents.Therefore,more importance should be attached to folk music education,more efforts should be made to strenthen the collecting and tidying-up of folk music,especially folk music of the minority ethics,to strengthen the training of the music teaching staff,and to raise the music qualities of the music majors.
