Transurethral resection of the prostate for treatment of 80 BPH patients

Objective To explore the clinical effect of transurethral prostatectomy treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia.Methods Selected study subjects from January 2009 to January 2011,by prostatic urethra transurethral treatment 80 cases benign prostatic hyperplasia,to establish the observation group,and another to select the same time the traditional open surgery for 60 cases benign prostatic hyperplasia patients as the control group,the operations index were compared between the two groups.Results The blood loss,hospital stay of the observation group were significantly less than the control group.After treatment,the IPSS,maximum urinary flow rate,residual urine volume of the observation group had significant improvement compared with preoperative,the difference was significant(P 0.05).Conclusion The transurethral prostatectomy for benign prostatic hyperplasia has good effect,worthy of promotion and application.
