Abstract
Western philosophers crusade against metaphysics in two directions: one is the scientismist anti-metaphysics, represented by empiricism and logic empiricism; the other is the non- scientismist anti-metaphysics, represented by Hegel,M Heidegger,Jacques Derrida. The history of the movement of anti-metaphysics demonstrates that anti-metaphysics is never able to be completed, as the former anti-metaphysicians are always criticized by the latter as metaphysicians. Philosophy is in the transition to post-metaphysics. In the period of post-metaphysics, the major function of philosophy is no longer to provide the eventual metaphysic base, but to deconstruct the various metaphysic bases.
