Abstract
By using a special complex number, a radix 6 FFT algorithm is developed, in which the component 6 point DFTs do not require any multiplication. The amount of arithmetic operation for the new algorithm is compared with that of standard radix 6, standard radix 6 with prime factor algorithm, standard radix 3, new radix 3 algorithm of Dubois, and radix 2, and radix 4 FFT algorithm in the Cartesian coordinate system.
