Abstract
The difficulties of cross-cultural communication mainly lie in the following aspects: difficult cultural interaction, different cultural distances with different communicative dimensions, the conflicts embodied more in habit and tradition than in comprehension, the higher costs of cross-cultural communication than the ordinary communications, cultural shock and cultural variation resulting from cross-cultural communication, and the overall improvement of human quality. Thus,a good understanding of the traits of cross-cultural communication will help us grasp its law and offer greater freedom to cross-cultural communication.
