Abstract
Aiming at the importance of project cost control,the author describes the basic theory and characteristics of the project cost control,discusses the effect of the cost engineer on the construction project cost management from aspects of project bidding,contract management,construction and project final accounts,points out that the project cost control runs through the whole process of the project construction,and the cost engineer should reflect project situation subjectively and fairly,grasp investment control point strictly.
