Abstract
The agroforestry practices in Yunnan province were divided into the following seven systems according to the principle of harmony coexistence of economic development and ecological environment. These seven agroforestry systems were cold temperate moist system, temperate moist system, subtropical moist system, subtropical semi moist system, monsoon subtropical moist system, tropical moist system, dry and hot valley system. The administrative area, natural condition, resource status, characteristics of agricultural and forestry production and management patterns of each agroforestry system were stated.Through comparative analysis, over 80 patterns of agroforestry management were summed up in mountain areas of Yunnan province. There were over 10 patterns under each system, which reflected the natural characteristics of mountain area and specialized with sites and nationalities.
