Abstract
The exploration and utilization of underground space is becoming an important component of modern urban construction. Due to the people’s living habit and thinking way, underground public space has not got enough attractions yet. Based on people’s physiological and psychological requirements, we analyze in this paper the spatial impression of underground public space, point out its inherent features, and present corresponding design principles and design requirements in perspective of security, comfort, convenience and healthiness, expecting to construct a human-oriented urban underground public space.
