Abstract
Objective To select the best method of intraperiteneal chemotherapy in ovarian cancer.Method From 1988 to 1997, 45 cases of ovarian cancer with ascites were treated in our hospital,25 cases were treated with combined intraperiteneal chemotherapy of MMC 6mg, 5-FU 750mg and AT 1258 60mg; 20 cases were treated with single drug of high dose DDP and intraperiteneal chemotharapy of artificial ascites. Results The effective rate of the combination group was 76% and that of the single drug group was 85%. Conclusion Intraperiteneal chemotherapy is an effective way to control ascites of ovarian cancer. Effective drug dose and sufficient volume of liquid can improve the effect. High dose of DDP is an ideal drug for intraperiteneal chemotherapy.
