Abstract
Objective To compare the efficacy and security of 0.5% ropivacaine mesylate and 0.5% ropivacaine hydrochloride in high epidural anesthesia. Methods Forty patients in ASAⅠ~Ⅱin breast cancer surgery received the puncture in the interspace of T2-3,and then received 0.5% ropivacaine mesylate(groupⅠ);0.5% ropivacaine hydrochloride(groupⅡ);The effect time, the blocked degree of the sensory nerve and the motor nerve, the influence on the blood pressure, heart rate and SPO2 were observed. Results There were no significant differences found in the onset, extent, and duration of sensory and motor block, and also in the hemodynamic stability, when 0.5% ropivacaine mesylate was clinically compared with 0.5% ropivacaine hydrochloride. No serious adverse events were found in this study. Conclusion High epidural anesthesia with 0.5% ropivacaine mesylate is similar to 0.5% ropivacaine hydrochloride in both efficacy and safety.
