Plant Diversity in Baoding City Affected by Urbanization

According to the greenbelt distributing condition,13 representative sample areas distributing in the three cirde regions(central,second ring,third ring) in Baoding city were selected to investigate the types,quantity and distribution of plants in this city.There were 94 species belonging to 74 genuses of 41 families in study area.The diversity distribution of different plant types was the same in same region,i.e.both the richness index and diversity index of herbs were high,and the evenness index of arbors was high.Both the richness index and diversity index of shrubs were low in different regions.In different orientations,the diversity index of all the plants was rich in west area;the richness index of arbors and shrubs in east area was the highest and the evenness index of herbs in west area was the lowest.The evenness index of arbors in east and north areas was the highest whereas shrubs in north area was the highest and herbs in west area was the highest.Urban greening mainly concentrated in planting shrubs in recent years,and the specie was single.The greening in old area still need to be improved.Planting single specie in roadway greenbelt should be avoided and local species should be protected.
