The Characters on Folk Economic Relationship of Song Dynasty

In ancient China,the economic relationship showed different characteristics with the evolution of forms of clan.In Song Dynasty,there appeared polorijation.One tended to divide some small households under the political impact in Tang Dynasty and Wudai period.The other tended to get together the small households into big ones promoted by the new developed nobility and emperor.Such economic relationship reflected in the law also developed towards duplex di-rections.On the one side,small families became the universal bodies of economic relationship.Their qualification as the bodies in civil cases were accepted by the law.Such conditions were shown on the freedom of decision on one’s private property,and the traditional priority around kinship were weakened.On the other side,clan property was the economic core of rebuilding clan relationship and getting together the clan households.Therefore,the law should involve the form type of clan property and increase the ability of protection.
