Abstract
The indexes of decabromodiphenyl ethane flame retardant ABS including activation energy,flaming performance,flashover time,FPI,smoke/toxic release index were analyzed,the results show that decabromodiphenyl ethane flame retardant ABS has better flame retardant effect,but it has drawback of heavy smoke.Environment friendly composite flame retardant with low smoke,low halogen and low toxic is applied through combining two or more flame retardants,complementing the performance of each component,thereby to enhance the interaction effect,namely synergistic effect,so it can reach the purposes of reducing the usage of flame retardant and the cost of flame retardant material,improving the flame retardant performance of the material,processing performance,and the physical mechanical properties.Therefore,the application of DBDPE is an inevitable trend.
