Abstract
Ammonia volatilization of maize-soil system in Northern Xinjiang was monitored in site under different treatments of nitrogen fertilizer types and applied quantities by aeration methods. The results of monitoring indicated that the treatment of applying urea(normal and over application) had more incremental in ammonia volatilization than the treatment of applying dopamine, the accumulative amounts of both treatments respectively increased by 0.149 kg/ha and 0.151 kg/ha,and the over-application of nitrogen fertilizer would aggravate soil nitrogen's loss, compared to the control, the accumulative amounts of soil ammonia volatilization respectively increased by 0.160 kg/ha and 0.043 kg/ha.Therefore,appropriate fentilizer and reasonable quantity should be selected carefully for the application of nitrogen fertilizer in farmland so as to lower soil ammonia loss resulted from ammonia volatilization, reduced the applied quantity of fertilizer and enhanced the effect of fertilizer.
