Abstract
Choosing potassium sulfate as an activator to stimulate the activity of natural anhydrite, and modified its properties by adding Portland cement and hemihydrate gypsum respectively. The influence rule of these ingredients on mechanical property and water resistance of natural anhydrite has been studied. The result of experiments shows that potassium sulfate can increase the strength of anhydrite considerably, when Portland cement is added there is a great improvement on the strength and softening coefficient and on which hemihydrate gypsum has a certain degree of effect.
