Abstract
Grid computing has emerged as an important field, distinguished from conventional distributed computing by its focus on large-scale resource sharing, innovative applications, and, in some cases, high-performance orientation [24]. The fundamental objective of grid computing is to unify distributed computer resources independent of scale, hardware, and software in order to achieve a processing power in unprecedented ways. In the early 1990s, scientific community realized that high-speed networks presented an opportunity for resource sharing. This would allow interpersonal collaboration, distributed data analysis, or access to specialized scientific instrumentation.
