In this paper, the problems of the traditional lead-smelting technology are analyzed and the new developments of the smelting process are introduced, and then with a focus on the lead smelting technology of oxidizing in bottom blowing furnace and reduction smelting in blast furnace. The reaction mechanism, technical process, equipments and effect on energy-saving and environment protecting of this lead smelting technology are discussed.
