Abstract
Shanghai classical garden enjoys a long history and has achieved great accomplishment in gardening art. However there have few studies on it for a long time. This paper analyzed Shanghai classical garden in the aspects of Shanghai history, Shanghai garden history, the owner of gardens and garden art. In this paper, Shanghai garden is compared with Suzhou garden to evaluate its value. This paper aims to provide reference in Shanghai contemporary garden design and inheritance of traditional culture.
