Study on effectiveness of highway main speed control measure

Abstract

Speed is an important factor affecting the road traffic safety,improving the speed control effect has important significance to improve road safety.This article is based on speed limit signs,vibration reducer marking and overspeed snapping three kinds of speed control measures the speed of observations before and after section,analyzed the speed variation characteristics of different sections,using regression analysis method,section speed control measures at different speeds were normality verification,speed test of significance.A example on Hebei highways is used to analyze the speed,established the relationship between speed standard deviation and accident rate,quantify the impact of velocity dispersion on traffic safety,evaluate the effectiveness of speed control measures.In the end,the three kinds of section speed of speed control measures show the character of acceleration after deceleration the speed deviation of overspeed snapping is the lowest,and the speed control effectiveness of overspeed snapping is the best.
