Abstract
In this paper we study the generalized eigenvectors for a defective complex matrix.We give the concepts of generalized linear dependence and generalized linear independence for a set of generalized eigenvectors by the chain of generalized Eigen spaces.With these concepts,we can express the complexity of computation of Jordan chains easily.
