Abstract

As one of the three greatest retrieval systems of the world,SCI is an important factor which refers to the capabilities of academic and scientific research for an institution.This article analyzes the situation of Guangzhou University's scientific papers,which were indexed and cited by SCI from the year 2001 to 2008,and its aim is to reveal Guangzhou University's situation of publishing papers,research ability,scientific and technological output power and academic exchange capacity in the indexed journals of SCI.In the end,it proposes some suggestions to increase the record number and cited rate of scientific papers by SCI.
