Abstract
The vibration model of gear lapping system for spiral bevel gears with two degrees of freedom is established,in which backlash between gear pair and gear transmission are considered.By means of numeric calculation,the dynamic response of gear lapping system is obtained under different retarding torques.According to time-displacement history and phase plane plots,under lower retarding torque,meshing,impacting and separating between gear pair occurred alternatively.With the increasing of retarding torque,gear backside impacting disappeared.In the end,the gear lapping system changes into the state of teeth surface meshing completely.
