Abstract
Concurrent engineering(CE) is a systematic approach to integrate concurrent design of products and their related processes.The objective of the paper attempts to adopt integrated IDEF modeling method to represent concurrent product development process,include product information,development activities,enterprise resources,and organizational structure.All kinds information contents involved in product development are identified through IDEF0 function models.The dynamic message flows based on the function model are built using an IDEF3 process modeling method.And the relationships between the data captured from the concepts of the function model are specified using the IDEF1x data modeling method.Furthermore,we adopt adjacency matrices to represent the relationships of organization view and resource view with other views.
