Abstract

A method is developed to determine the total rare earths as well as the cerium group in phosphates by spectrophotometry using TBA as chromo-genic reagent. The cerium group rare earths can be determined in a HAc-NaAe buffer (pH 3.2-3.4)using Mn-CyDTA to mask the yttrium group. The results are satisfactory.
