Reflections on the Modern Transformation Road of Confucianism from "Upsurge of Confucianism"

The reflection and criticism of the Upsurge of was discussed in this paper and the following five points should be noted on the modern transformation road of Confucianism.First,Confucianism should be developed based on the reality to avoid the kitsch,especially to avoid the orientation of utilitarian purpose.Second,Confucianism should not only be popularized for the general public,but also be studied academically.It is necessary to take the parallel roads of secularization and academia.Third,Confucianism should be developed by the support from the politics and also should be self-knowledge that keeps a proper alienation to politics.Fourth,awareness of self-criticism for Confucianism should be enhanced and innovation should not be interrupted.Fifth,Confucianism communicators and researchers should improve the moral training to avoid disrupting Confucianism by personal behavioral problems.
