Abstract
Objective To observe the clinical effects of three methods protecting cracked molar teeth during root canal treatment. Methods We Applied the orthodontic band, temporary full veneer crown and steel-wire cerclage to protect cracked molar teeth before root canal treatment.Compare the reserve curative effects of the cracked molar teeth, adverse effects and protectors'shape of the three methods. Results The group of orthodontic band and the temporary full veneer crown had an advantage curative effect in reserve curative effects of the cracked molar teeth. The group of temporary full veneer crown was better than the group of orthodontic band in adverse effects and protectors'shape. Conclusion Applying the temporary full veneer crown before the root canal treatment for cracked teeth can avoid crown fracture and induce less adverse effects.
