Abstract
Objective To explore the effects of trunk control training on the walking ability and ADL of stroke-induced hemiplegia patients. Methods A total of 64 cases with stroke-induced hemiplegia were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group equally. The patients in both groups were subjected to routine rehabilitation training, while those in the observation group received trunk control training besides.Eight weeks later, scores for walking ability and ADL were compared between the two groups. Results The walking ability was better and Barthel index scores were higher in the observation group than in control group(P0.05 for all). Conclusion The trunk control training can significantly improve the walking ability and ADL of patients with stroke-induced hemiplegia.
