THE EFFECT OF TREATMENT WITH EARLY REHABILITATION MODEL ON PATIENTS WITH TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY

Abstract

[Objective]To analyze the effect of treatment with early rehabilitation model on patients with traumatic brain injury(TBI).[Methods]47 patients suffering from TBI were randomly divided into two groups:rehabilitation care group(20 patients)and normal treatment group(27 patients).Both groups were given the conventional treatment.The changes of Glasgow Coma Scale(GCS)and activities of daily living(ADL)before and after treatment in two groups were compared.[Results]After treatment,the GCS and ADL in two groups were improved and there were statistic significances between two groups(P﹤0.05).The GCS and ADL of rehabilitation care group were better than the normal treatment group(P﹤0.05).The average days in hospital were significantly fewer in rehabilitation care group than those in the normal treatment group(P﹤0.05).[Conclusion]Treatment with early rehabilitation model can enhance the good outcome rate and reduce average days in hospital for the patients with TBI.
