The basic characteristics of the gold deposits in Archean greenstone belts of Shuangshanzi

This paper introduces the basic characteristics in Archean greenstone belts of Shuangshanzi,and points out there are many similarities between Shuangshanzi greenstone belts and Canadian Abitibi greenstone belts.Three different types of gold deposits in greenstone belts possess major geological features respectively.Early gold-bearing quartz veins are the product of Archean,it's typical gold deposit of the Archean greenstone belts in the eastern Hebei province.Arsenopyrite type gold deposits may be the most terminal product of Archean.Late quartz vein type gold deposits formed in stage of Yanshan.In about 30 km long ore belts from south to north,there are intermittent distribution of gold deposits or gold mineralization spots,the range of three metallogenic phases are roughly consistent and correspond with the three big As、Sb anomalies.The above indicate that three phases of gold mineralization often show phenomenon of superposition,and presume that there is a concealed or transformed deep and large ore-controlling faults in the eastern part of greenstone belts since Archean times.Along greenstone belts gold mineralization took place many times from Archean to Mesozoic.It is believed that the geological features of mineralization in greenstone belts have important guiding significance for searching gold deposits in this region.Confirmation of whether there is the bigger lens or the dense lenses in sericite-quartz schist belts of Yingwushan-Xihangou,whether there are still Yanshan period gold deposits to be discovered,are particularly noteworthy in prospecting in the area.
