Abstract
IM To study the relationship between the intrahepatic vascular proliferation and the liver damages in hepatitis B.METHODS A total of 1607 liver biopsies were obtained from hepatitis B patients in our hospital, and 10 normal liver tissues served as control. The tissues were embedded with paraffin and were sectioned 4μm, and tested with histochemistry and immunohistochemistry.RESULTS αSMA was expressed only on the walls of primary intrahepatic arteries, veins and biliary ducts in normal liver tissues. αSMA, FN, LN and CoⅣ were positively expressed in the vessel septa and necrotic region in the group of mild liver damage; strongly expressed in the bridge fibrosis and liver sinusoid capillary regions in the group of severe liver damage as well as in the fibrous zones of pseudolobuli, vessel regions, necrotic plaque, the connection site between fibrous zones and liver parenchyma, capillary regions and sinusoid endothelial cells in group of liver cirrhosis.CONCLUSION Intrahepatic vascular proliferation plays an important role in hepatic fibrosis and cirrhosis.
