Abstract
Recently, the theories and the instruments for the determinations of the stellar positions by means of equal altitude method have made many progress. By using different methods, such as the bi-reflecting angle-mirror system, the almucantar involing celestial pole, (cf. table 1) or observing the transit time and azimuth simultaneously, (cf. formulae 6, 8 and 3) we could improve the efficiency of the astrolabes available in the establishment of catalogues. It seems that an ideal, full automatic and larger astrolabe can make remarkable contributions to the fundamental astrometry.
